So you have your new Powerisers, now what?
Well, here is a good place to start. Through our own personal experience, here are our top recommendations to get started on your new Powerisers.Protect yourself from falls!
We highly recommend wearing a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist pads, especially when you are trying your Powerisers for the first time. Powerisers are designed to help keep your balance while performing tricks, but falls will happen, and protecting yourself is essential. Additional protection you might consider is a mouth guard, and tailbone protection. (you can either buy some a device designed to protect the tailbone such as this one, or build your own.)Protect your Powerisers!
Powerisers are made from the highest quality parts, and are made to last a long time, but just like anything, they require some simple preventative maintenance to ensure they last as long as they possibly can. We highly recommend wrapping your springs. The easiest way to do this is with tape. You can use hockey stick tape available at any sporting goods store, and if you want to add some color to it, you can get electrical tape in all kinds of colors at any hardware store. Alternatively if you want a different look you can get all kinds of different tape at identi-tape.com.
Another thing you can do to improve the life of your Powerisers is create foot socks. Check out this link for many more recommendations on improving the life-span of your Powerisers.Start slow!
Take things slow, don't try to rush them. Watch the video on starting out in our videos section for great tips on how to get started. When you first start out make sure you have something to hold on to, like a rail, or a person standing with you, to help you keep your balance until you get used to the feeling of being on the powerisers. Don't go to fast, and make sure you have adequate protection!Talk to other Powerbockers!
